Parents and guardians who take an active part in our home-school partnership by volunteering become role models for students, including their own children. The district has many opportunities available for you to share your time, talent, and expertise.

The Somerville Public School district requires that all adults who volunteer their services are fingerprinted through the New Jersey Department of Education and attend an affirmative action/policy training session prior to Board approval.
Once volunteers complete the entire process, they are reimbursed the fees for the fingerprinting and background check.
