The Somerville High School Robotics Team allows students the opportunity to design, engineer, build, and drive human size robots. Working alongside professional engineers from Johnson & Johnson, students build an efficient robot which plays and competes at a game created by MIT students. Student teams representing their school participate in regional tournaments and, if successful, can progress to the national competition in Atlanta, Georgia. With over 2,000 teams across the nation, competition is not hard to find. Active participation in the organization can lead to substantial college scholarship opportunities. |
