The Genesis Club, is a club that was initiated by a former SHS student Muna Ilogu in 2012. It became an official club in 2015. Even though it was established and petitioned by 42 students of Christian faith, it is a club where students of all faiths are welcomed. If you are student who wants to comfortably come together in a non-religious environment to openly read, study, pray, share thoughts and discuss topics in the Bible that are relevant to students then…
Come and visit one of the meetings. Dinner and refreshments are always provided! We meet the 1st Wednesday of every month at 2:30pm for 1 hour in room 305. In addition, we have 8-9 service opportunities in the metropolitan area to help those in need.
Last year we had 48 active members and as a club one of our missions is to serve our community’s needs in nursing homes, soup kitchens, homeless shelters and by giving lunch bags and blankets to the homeless in the streets of Philadelphia and now New York City with New York City Relief Bus! Come join us, it has been and continues to be a rewarding experience when you help others! :)
Genesis Club also, collaborates with other community base clubs like Habitat for Humanity, Interact Club and Key club to help those who can’t help themselves in our own community and globally.
