Welcome to English 2 CP
In English 2 CP, we analyze literature from ancient cultures through our study of Ancient Greek myths and we delve into Shakespeare, and literature of Puritan and Colonial America. We also focus on Holocaust studies during the Colonial American and McCarthy eras. As we travel through each time period, we will take a look at how conflict and social change influenced the evolution of literature. In conjunction with our study of literature, written and verbal communication, as well as critical-thinking, are key skills which we strive to develop in English 2 CP. Our study of grammar and vocabulary are integrated in all our units of study. Students will compose a research-driven position paper in which they utilize skills gained throughout the year in our various research-oriented activities.
