English 3 at a Glance
In English 3, we take a close look at how social environments influence the development of literature from the 1800s to the present-day. Our key periods of study are Romanticism, Realism, Naturalism, Modernism, and Post-Modernism. Throughout the year, we will read and analyze representative texts of each period. Writing, collaborative learning, and inquiry are emphasized in this course. Students will compose a position paper in which they utilize the research process. Grammar and vocabulary are integrated in all of our units of study.
