    13th Annual National Co-Op Scholarship Program  195 Merit Scholarships Totaling $4.7 million. As the largest independently sponsored merit co-op scholarship program in the United States. These merit co-op scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors  and transfer students who plan to participate in college cooperative education at on of our Partner Institutions.      Jack Kent Cooke Foundations College Scholarship Program  The Foundation will select up to 40 applicants nationwide for this high selective scholarship. Selected students may receive up to $40,000 per year and more. Please visit http://www.jkcf.org/scholarships ____________________
    Varsity Tutors Scholarship
     Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students must write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Visitors to the Varsity Tutors scholarship webpage are able to vote via social media for submitted entries. The top five entries with the most votes are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship.      Scholarships for American High Schools to Students to Study Abroad  The New Jersey Department of Education is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the U. S.     Internship Opportunity Assemblyman Roy Freiman seeks interns for his office in Hillsborough. This internship term runs from September through December. Our ideal candidate is an organized and committted student who is eager to join a fast paced environment and build upon their knowledge of the legislative process. Candidates should be professional, quick learners, and phenomenal team players. This internship is unpaid. Ties to LD 16 are helpful, but not necessary.     United Way Varsity Letter in Community Service Program The Varsity Letter in Community Serve program is sponsored by United Way of Northern new Jersey and supported by a Volunteer Generation Fund grant through the New Jersey Commission for National and Community Service. The goal is to encourage high school students to pursue service opportunities that provide a variety of skill and leadership development opportunities, expand their interests, and give back to their community. Students can list the VLCS as a unique achievement on college, scholarship, and job applications.     Wendy's High School Heisman Created by Wendy's founder Dave Thomas, they Wendy's High School Heisman has partnered with the Heisman Memorial Trophy to recognize and honor high school seniors who strive for excellence in the classroom, on the playing field, and through community involvement. These are student who only know one way to work: as hard as they can. Winners have the chance to earn scholarships ranging from $500 up to $5000!     Voice of Democracy The Voice of Democracy is open to students in grades 9-12 by the October 31st deadline, who are enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school or home study program in the US, it territories and possessions. Althought US citizenship is not required, student must be alwful US permanent residents orhave applied for permanent residence and intends to become a US citizen a the earliest opportunity allowed by law. Foreign exchange students, students age 20 or over, previous Voice of Democracy first place state winners, GED or Adult Education Students are ineligible.     Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student The Elks National Foundation has helped thousands of students who need financial assistance fulfill their dreams of attending college. Most Valuable Student scholars are outstanding students who are at or near the top of their classes, active in their schools and communiities, and recognized as leaders by their peers. Any high school seniors who is a US citizen may apply for an MVS scholarschip. Applications will be judged on Scholarship, Leadership, Financial need.     Elks National Foundation Established in 1998, the ENF Legacy Awards program offers 300 college scholarships worth $4000 each to the children and grandchildren of Elks members. College bound high school seniors who are the children or grandchildren of dues-paying Elks are welcome to apply. Applicatns compete against other children and grandchildren from the state of their sponsoring Elks Lodge. They are judged on the core values of the Elks Nation Founcation: Knowledge, Charity, Community Service, Integrity.
