• NJ State YAM Exhibition

    The NJ State YAM Exhibition is a once in a lifetime opportunity for k-12 art students.  Celebrated in the month of March also the month for celebration of the arts. Each county in the state is asked to submit 6 pieces of artwork to represent the county.  This artwork is selected by a panel of art teachers in each county and must be created by students of current AENJ members.

    Somerville student Iris Brudi was honored at the NJ Statehouse Reception on March 9th.  Congratulations, Iris!

  • Mrs. Conklin named President-Elect for the Art Educators of NJ

    Mrs. Lisa Conklin has been a member of the Art Educators of New Jersey (AENJ) since 2007. Since then she has served on the Executive Board as the Communications Chair, member of AENJ's Advisory Council and Conference Committee, and Youth Art Month’s (YAM) Co-Chair of Somerset County and in 2014.

    Mrs. Conklin supports Art Education and the art community by sharing her expertise as a presenter at many AENJ conferences and by volunteering at events that advocate for children’s involvement in the arts.

    Good luck Mrs. Conklin on your new role as the AENJ President-Elect!

  • Shakespeare Workshop

    SHS English Teacher, Mr. David Lerner, presented a workshop on Shakespeare titled "Shakespeare: The Man, The Myth, and The Methodology" at the Atlantic City Teachers' Convention for the second straight year.
