          Course Description:

                This advanced course is designed for the student in his or her senior year who is inclined to pursue an education in the art related fields upon graduation from high school or for the student with a very strong interest in fine arts as a career or vocation. Through the use of Elements and Principles of Art and Design, the student will experience various techniques and media, as well as through the use of technology that will result in high level creations.  Students are required to complete sketch assignments.  In addition to art production, the student will be exposed to various historical periods and styles, art criticism, and aesthetics and their relevance to the art world.  Student will produce a portfolio quality body of personal work that demonstrates proficiency and may be used for post secondary application.
