Honors Appeals

If entry into a particular Honors course is denied, the student may submit an appeal that factors in the third marking period grade in order to achieve the required average of 90 or above.  Appeals must be submitted by April 28, 2017 to Mrs. Garvey at ngarvey@somervilleschools.org.  An appeal consists of a copy of the 3rd Marking Period Report Card showing that your child now has the required average of 90 or above. Additional information on course descriptions and other academic programs can be found in the 2017-2018 Program of Studies, located on the Guidance Department webpage.  You can also contact the Guidance Department 908-243-1549 with any questions.
