  • Make-up Day and Spring Recess

    We will have a full session make-up day on Monday March 26th.  School will be closed from Tuesday March 27th through April 2nd for Spring Recess.  Classes will resume on Tuesday April 3rd.

  • AP Exams

    AP Exam Registration Packet Information was passed out during AP Classes. If you have misplaced or did not receive one, please stop by guidance to pick up an extra form. ALL registrations and Payment are due to the Guidance office no later than March 2, 2018. If you have any questions, please feel free to see Mrs. Ireland in the Guidance Office.  Please mark your calendars for April 18, 2018- there will be a mandatory pre-gridding meeting on April 18, 2018 for seniors during 8th period and for juniors and seniors afterschool. You must attend one of these sessions.

  • Cheerleading Tryouts

    We are having a preseason meeting on Tuesday March 20th in the cafeteria from 6-8pm that all interested cheerleaders should attend with one parent. Please email Coach Kelly at kmcall@somervilleschools.org or Coach Liz at eteeling@somervilleschools.org with questions.  Cheer tryouts are as follows:
    Monday April 9th - 5- 8pm
    Tuesday April 10th - 5-8pm
    Wednesday April 11th - 5-7pm
    Thursday April 12th - Actual Tryouts between 5-8pm

  • College Fair

    The 2018 Somerville High College Fair will be on April 4th in the gymnasium from 6:30 - 8:30pm. This year we will have over 90 colleges & universities. Please click here for a complete list of schools registered to attend.

  • College Visits

    Somerville High Schools hosts various college visits throughout the school year. If a Junior or Senior would like to attend a college visit, you must sign up through Naviance. If you have signed up for a visit, you must see your teacher prior to going to the visit and sign into the media center. Naviance will have the most up to date list of college visits.

    If you enjoy building things, experimenting with technology, or creating arts and craft projects, visit the media center afterschool for Makerspace Mondays on Mondays from 2:30-3:30 pm.

  • Photography Club

    Come join the Photography Club afterschool on Wednesday April 4th in room #105 for a Darkroom activity! We will be creating your very own darkroom print!  Also, wear your Photography Club t-shirt and show your club "spirit".  T-shirts are available for $10.  See Mrs. Conklin with any questions.

    SPRING PLANT SALE:  The Somerville PTO is offering a great opportunity to purchase your annuals, herbs, perennials, hanging baskets and vegetables. These beautiful plants will be available for Mother’s Day.  Simply download the SHS PTO Plant Sale form and send in with payment in full by Wednesday April 4, 2018.  Pick up flowers on Friday, May 11, 2018, at Somerville High School between 10am – 5pm.  See form for further details.

    SHS PTO MEETING:  Your PTO is working hard for the students of Somerville High School. Come join us and be a part of that experience!  If you or someone you know would like to be more involved, please do not miss our next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at 7:00 pm in the SHS Media Room.

    Your Membership is Critical:  PTO Family & Faculty membership dues are critical for the SHS PTO to continue to sponsor key activities and requests in support of our students and faculty.  These membership dues allow us to sponsor several activities, as well as minimize our operating costs (supplies, mailings), therefore maximizing the investment of funds in our students and faculty.   • Somerville Idol 2018

    Somerville Idol 2018 is quickly approaching!  Now is the time to plan and practice your act!  We are looking for singers, dancers, instrumentalists, jugglers, comedians....anything that will entertain the crowd, wow the judges and show off the amazing talents of Somerville High School students and teachers! Auditions will be held on Tuesday, April 10th at 3:00pm.  If you would like to participate in this year's Somerville Idol please, sign up on the bulletin board outside the auditorium.
