  • PSAT Scores

    Starting December 12th, students can access their October 2017 PSAT scores via their College Board accounts at www.collegeboard.org.  Students will need to log in using the email address they provided on their PSAT answer sheet.  Hard copies of score reports are due to arrive at the high school on or about December 15th, at which time a copy will be mailed home.

  • Toy Drive - SHS Baseball Diamond Club

    The Diamond Club and Baseball teams are holding a toy drive for the Goryeb Children's Hospital at Morristown Hospital.   The drop off box will be located in the Athletics Office.

    The AP Bulletin was emailed out to all students enrolled in an AP course(s) on November 29, 2017. The Guidance Office will be in touch with students about registering for exams in February.

  • Book Club

    Do you like to read, while eating, and hanging out with friends? The book club will be having its fourth book discussion on Wednesday, December 20th in room 202 at 2:30pm. We will be discussing the books Warmblooded and The Inexplicable Logic of My Life. Please bring all your books.  We are currently missing one copy of Black Eyed Susans.  Hope to see you there!!

  • College Visits

    Somerville High Schools hosts various college visits throughout the school year. If a Junior or Senior would like to attend a college visit, you must sign up through Naviance. If you have signed up for a visit, you must see your teacher prior to going to the visit and sign into the media center. Naviance will have the most up to date list of college visits.

  • Incoming Freshmen Scheduling Workshop

    The incoming Freshmen Scheduling Workshop will be held on Wednesday January 17th at 6:30pm in the SHS Auditorium.  This program will provide all 8th grade students and parents with detailed informaiton regarding the High School's academic programs and outline the scheduling process for the 2018-2019 school year.

  • Junior College Planning Night

    The Junior College Planning Night will be held on Wednesday January 24th at 6:30pm in the SHS Auditorium. All Juniors and their parents are invited to the Guidance Department's annual presentation regarding the college application process and the lead-up to Senior year.

  • Makerspace Mondays

    If you enjoy building things, experimenting with technology, or creating arts and craft projects, visit the media center afterschool for Makerspace Mondays on Mondays from 2:30-3:30 pm.

  • Men's Chorus

    Men's Chorus practices every Wednesday afternoon from 2:30pm to 3:15pm in Room 120.  No experience is necessary.  All guys who have an interest in singing, performing and having fun are welcome.  The Men's Chorus will perform in at least three concerts this year.  Come give it a try!  You don't even have to audition!  Just bring your friends and a love of music.  See you Wednesdays at 2:30pm.

  • National Honor Society - Blanket Collection

    National Honor Society will be collecting new or homemade blankets to help children in need this holiday season.  The fundraiser will take place from Monday, November 27th through Friday, January 5th.  Blanket donations can be dropped off in the Main Lobby.  Thank you for your support!

    Looking for last minute holiday gift ideas?   Go to the PTO WEBSITE for an order form to purchase SHS SPIRIT WEAR!!!   Act fast as the deadline for holiday ordering is December 15th, while supplies last!    You will also find information on the PTO WEBSITE regarding the PTO's Christmas Tree Fundraiser at Arvin's Garden Center on Route 22 in Whitehouse Station.

    Also, the SHS PTO is pleased to announce a cooperative fundraising event with Personalized Paraphernalia.   For every Varsity Jacket order placed, the PTO will receive a $10 donation toward Project Graduation!    Visit the PTO WEBSITE to place your order soon!!

  • RVCC Workforce Program Visit

    RVCC will be visiting on February 8, 2018 at 10am in the media center to speak about their Workforce Programs. Designed in partnership with local industry, RVCC offers a variety of high-quality, affordable career training programs with a proven track record of success. You’ll learn the exact set of skills needed to successfully launch a career in your industry of choice, along with job shadowing, internships and job placement services. Financial aid may be available. In order to attend this visit, you must sign up in Naviance. Please see Mr. Hudson if you have any additional questions.
