  • Picture Retakes - Underclass and Faculty

    Pictures retakes for Underclass and Faculty will be on Thursday, November 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the Media Center.  Students having a portrait retake need to return the first package and pay $5.00. Anyone that did not have payment on Picture day can come again to get photographed and purchase a package.  Click for the Package Price List and Underclass Options List.

  • APEX Lab

    The APEX testing lab will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays ONLY from 2:30pm-3:30pm in room 108. You must bring your charged chromebook to the testing lab as we have no extra computers or chromebooks.  Please note that the lab closes promptly at 3:30pm.

    On with the show?! What show? The Best of Broadway! That's right, the Drama Club is presenting the Best of Broadway, here at Somerville High School. Mark your calendars, for  Monday, October 22nd at 7pm in the Auditorium. Tickets are available online at shsdrama.ticketleap.com also available at the door the night of the performance. Support your talented friends as we raise money for this year's musical. Thank you.

    Somerville High Schools hosts various college visits throughout the school year. If a Junior or Senior would like to attend a college visit, you must sign up through Naviance. If you have signed up for a visit, you must see your teacher prior to going to the visit and sign into the media center. Naviance will have the most up to date list of college visits.

    The Peer Leadership goal is to have all freshmen sign up for Peer Leadership.  The Peer Leaders will be visiting your lunch periods on Thursday, October 11 and Friday, October 12 to meet you and have you sign up. Once you have signed up, they will meet every Wednesday throughout the year, starting October 24, to help you get adjusted!

  • School Violence Awareness Week

    School Violence Awareness Week is October 15th-19th. 
    Monday, October 15
    This week is School Violence Awareness Week.  This week is used to discuss ways to prevent school violence, including conflict resolution, issues of student diversity, and tolerance.  Every day this week we will present facts about violence that LGBT students experience.  Please join us on Thursday, October 18 by wearing purple to show your support of anti-bullying of LGBT students.  
    Today's fact is...4 in 10 LGBT youth (42%) say the community in which they live is not accepting of LGBT people.

    Today's fact is...LGBT youth are twice as likely as their peers to say they have been physically assaulted, kicked or shoved.  Join us on Thursday, October 18 by wearing purple to show your support of anti-bullying of LGBT students.

    Today's fact is...26% of LGBT youth say their biggest problems are not feeling accepted by their family, trouble at school/bullying, and a fear to be out/open.  22% of non-LGBT youth say their biggest problems are trouble with class, exams, and grades.  Join us tomorrow, Thursday, October 18 by wearing purple to show your support of anti-bullying of LGBT students.

  • Weight Room Hours

    Fall Weight Room will be open this fall starting September 17th on Mondays and Thursdays after school through the fall season for any student or potential athlete that would like to workout or to make-up PE class absences.
