    The Somerville High School chapter of the NHS is a service organization that  is governed by the rules and regulations of the national organization. Membership is open to juniors and seniors who have fulfilled the criteria required by the national guidelines. Students are initially eligible by maintaining a cumulative weighted, unrounded GPA of 93%. Selected students show proof of exhibiting the four standard characteristics of scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Throughout the year, members are required to volunteer through our peer tutoring programs, as well as a number of service projects.  
     
    Attention Candidates & Parents: The 2019-2020 NHS eligibility list for juniors and seniors was posted in all homerooms on Monday, September 9th.  The first informational meeting for juniors is taking place on Wednesday, September 11th at 2:30pm and Thursday, September 12th at 7:05am in the auditorium.  The second meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 5th after school and Thursday, February 6th before school in the auditorium.  Application materials and deadlines will be discussed and disseminated.  Please make every effort to attend.  If you cannot attend, please contact Mr. Clark as soon as possible.
